Amber blanches out this.
"I'm going back in my room."
Amber was shaken slightly. She looked close to crying.
She marches out of the room with quick, long steps.
"What is a horrible thing to say? Apologize to Amber now."
Ashley affirms that Eve clearly was pleased at their words.
Yet, after pondering for a while, Ashley stands up. Eve follows suit.
Together, they walk outside the bathhouse and into the changing room.
"Amber, listen. I'm sorry. I went too far. Forgive me."
Amber looks as if she has been crying.
Ashley flusters at the sight.
"Be more sincere in your apology."
"Don't tell me what to do!"
Ashley appears annoyed. Yet, her words, like her usual snarky bite, Eve has become used to by now.
"Hey, Emmy. Look, I know I said too much. You were my friend, and it was wrong to let me dismiss and insult your feelings like that."
"You've always been like that, ignoring me even when I hinted my feelings for you so many times before."
Ashley shifts her weight around uncertainly.
Apparently, at a loss of words, unsure of what to say, Ashley pulls Amber in a close embrace.
